Reading Journal: Folklore

What is up everyone! Did you have a good day? First, I just want to thank all of you for your attention and for reading about me telling you some stories on this blog even my last post on this blog. Today I have something new to tell you, I will tell you about folklore I read today, the story that I read today is The Ugly Duckling.

The Ugly Duckling was popularized by a Danish poet and writer, Hans Christian Andersen, published in 1843. Hans is known as one of the most influential fairy tale writers in the world. Some of his works besides the story that I will tell you today are The Little Mermaid, The Red Shoes, The Snow Queen, Thumbelina and The Little Match Girl.

This story tells of an ugly duckling that is born in a barn. The ugly duckling received bullying from his siblings and other animals around him, until he finally grew up to become an elegant goose. This fairy tale is loved by the whole world, because it has good morals, it's reminder for us to always be grateful, love ourselves and be a better person with a big heart even you've got bullied. I think it's enough for today, thank you for read my blog, see you in another story.
